Aiuto
A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

The process aims at involving local stakeholders in the renovation of public space in the city of Burgas, taking into account their needs to ensure its sustainable development and exploitation.
The approach chosen by Burgas includes the following steps:

2. Establish a coordination unit -project manager, architects and public relations expert.
3. On-line questionnaire for receiving feedback from local stakeholders about likes and dislikes for the territory and recommendations about its future functions.
4. Personnel meeting with people living next to the selected territory for receiving a feedback from them.
5. Design a concept for renovation with identifies public spaces and their functions within the targeted territory.
6. Public discussion of the concept with local stakeholders for receiving feedback.
7. Discussion of the concept with the members of the Local Resilience and Climate Adaptation Unit (Local Nod).
8. Analyses of results and design of a detailed technical concept for renovation of targeted territory.
